AI-Powered Performance Forecast

Upload a CSV of dated business metrics and get regression-based projections with confidence bands, three scenario lines, and an AI-written narrative that explains what your data actually means โ€” in plain language, with specific risks and recommendations.

How It Works

From raw CSV to multi-scenario forecast in four steps.

1

Upload Your CSV

Upload a CSV where the first column contains dates and each remaining column is a numeric metric โ€” revenue, costs, headcount, conversion rate, whatever you track. The platform auto-detects column names and validates the file before accepting it. No template required.

2

Regression & Projection

Linear regression runs per metric. Residual standard deviation is used to compute confidence band width โ€” wider bands mean noisier data, narrower bands mean stronger trends. Historical and projected values are stored separately so you can extend projections later without rerunning the analysis.

3

AI Writes the Narrative

The AI receives the regression results for all metrics, your optional focus area, and your accumulated business context โ€” then writes a structured narrative with an executive headline, metric-by-metric highlights, risk factors, and prioritized recommendations. Output arrives as structured data, not free-form text.

4

Explore, Extend & Export

Interactive Chart.js charts render for every metric. Extend any projection forward by months or years directly on the chart โ€” no page reload. Download a PDF that includes all charts with their scenario lines, the full AI narrative, and the branded header. CSV export available for raw values.

What You Get

๐Ÿ“Š

Multi-Metric Charts

One interactive Chart.js chart per metric. Each chart shows the historical line, a dashed projection line, and a shaded confidence band derived from residual standard deviation. All charts are included in the PDF export.

๐Ÿ”€

Three Scenario Lines

Expected (slope ร—1.0), High (+20%), and Low (โˆ’20%) scenario lines fan out from the last historical data point. Labels are intentionally neutral โ€” "High/Low" not "Best/Worst" โ€” because for cost metrics, lower is the desirable outcome.

โฉ

Extendable Projections

Each chart has an extend control โ€” enter a number and choose months or years, then click Update. The chart re-projects forward instantly using the stored slope. Click Reset to return to the default horizon. No server call required.

๐Ÿ“

AI Narrative

The AI writes a structured narrative covering: an executive headline, per-metric highlights with sentiment (positive/negative/neutral), identified risk factors, and specific recommendations. Each section is rendered in the results view and included in the PDF.

๐Ÿ“„

PDF & CSV Export

The PDF export includes the full AI narrative, all charts with scenario lines, and the branded header on every page. CSV export provides raw historical and projected values for all metrics โ€” useful for further modeling in Excel or similar tools.

Memory Integration

Forecast results feed into your business memory โ€” metric trends and recommendations are extracted and stored. Future Advisor sessions and SWOT analyses draw on this accumulated context, so the platform gets progressively more specific to your business.

CSV Format

No template required โ€” just follow these three rules.

First column: dates

The first column must contain dates. Common formats are accepted โ€” YYYY-MM-DD, MM/DD/YYYY, "Jan 2024", etc. Monthly data gives the best regression quality.

Remaining columns: numbers

Each additional column is one metric. Column headers become the chart and narrative labels โ€” use descriptive names like "Monthly Revenue", "Active Users", "Churn Rate (%)". Values must be numeric.

Minimum rows: 6

Regression requires at least 6 data points per metric to produce meaningful results. 12โ€“24 months of monthly data is the sweet spot. Download a sample CSV to see the expected layout.

File size: up to 10 MB

Only .csv files are accepted. Most business metric CSVs are well under 1 MB โ€” even with dozens of metrics and years of history โ€” so the 10 MB ceiling is rarely a concern.

Frequently Asked Questions

How many metrics can I include in one CSV?

There's no hard limit on the number of metric columns. Practically, most CSVs contain 3โ€“12 metrics. The platform generates a separate chart and narrative section for each column it detects, so more metrics means more charts and a longer narrative. The sample CSVs available on the homepage include 5 and 9 metrics respectively.

What if my data is noisy or irregular?

Noisy data produces wider confidence bands โ€” the platform uses residual standard deviation from the regression to size the band, so erratic data is automatically reflected as greater uncertainty in the projection. The AI narrative also flags high-variance metrics explicitly and notes where projections should be treated with caution.

Can I re-run a forecast with updated data?

Yes โ€” each forecast is a new run. Upload a newer version of your CSV (with more recent rows added) and run a fresh forecast. Previous runs are stored in your history so you can compare narratives and trend directions across time. Forecasts cost $59 each regardless of how many metrics or data points are included.

Is linear regression the right model for my data?

Linear regression is a deliberate choice โ€” it produces interpretable projections with clear slope and confidence bounds, which is what most business planning conversations require. It works well for business metrics that trend directionally over months or quarters. Strong seasonality or non-linear growth can cause wider bands or less precise projections; the AI narrative typically identifies these cases and notes where the projection should be used as directional guidance rather than a point estimate.

What does the AI narrative include?

The narrative has five structured sections: an executive headline summarizing the overall picture; per-metric highlights noting the trend direction and notable observations for each metric; identified risk factors (e.g. metrics trending toward a critical threshold); specific recommendations tied to the data; and an overall outlook summary. All sections are rendered in the results view and included in the PDF.
